Epson Smart Glass BT-300
Wearable technology appears to be posing as the next hit in the supply chain industry. Smart glasses offer luxurious features such as mobile, handsfree picking in addition to a potentially low cost of ownership-benefits that warehouse manager covets. Boon Software was quick to ride on the technology and developed the Symphony Smart Glasses Module which offers real-time object recognition, barcode reading, indoor navigation, and seamless integration of information was interfaced directly to the Symphony warehouse management system (WMS).
Epson has established a diverse and innovative ecosystem of partners, many developing revolutionary Augmented Reality applications for the MOVERIO glasses. The Moverio BT-300 features Epson’s cutting-edge silicon-based OLED (organic light emitting diode) digital display technology. The Si-OLED display enables full see-through experience for the only FPV accessory with the visual line of sight. The image quality achieved is on HD display (720p) and with a high brightness to ensure a crisp image and vivid colours. As a result, the integration of this augmented reality (AR) application will lead to a simplified and improved user experience including increased worker speed, reduction of errors and improved flexibility of core processes by offering a hands-free working experience.
