Keeping you up to date on some of the important current events happening at Boon Software.
At Boon Software, we believe mentoring is more than knowledge-sharing — it is about shaping lives and preparing leaders for the future. Our commitment to corporate social responsibility goes beyond technology. It extends into developing people, inspiring future leaders, and building resilient communities across ASEAN.
This year marks the second year of the ASEAN Next-Gen Mentoring Program, which has expanded beyond Singapore to Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. This growth is a powerful step toward building an ASEAN-wide network of future-ready leaders.
The launch of this year’s program was held at the SCM HR Summit, under the theme Future-Proof Leadership: Building Skills for What’s Next. We were honoured to have Prof. Charlene Chen, Member of Parliament for Tampines GRC and Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, deliver the keynote. She inspired mentees and mentors alike with her conviction that leadership must be anchored in both competence and character to withstand disruption.
Adding to this, Mr. Edwin Sam, Organisational Consultant at Redwood Psychology, led an insightful workshop on future-proofing leadership. His organisational behaviour perspective highlighted that while AI and automation will redefine industries, the leaders who thrive will be those who can adapt, empathize, and inspire trust.
Alongside these thought leaders, mentees also engaged in unique learning experiences — from resilience stories at the SCM HR Summit, to intergenerational conversations during the Mentoring Walk by the Singapore River, to testing supply chain decisions in the SCM Games. Each touchpoint provided lessons far richer than any classroom or slide deck could offer.
At Boon Software, we are proud to support the ASEAN Next-Gen Mentoring Program, convened by the Global Supply Chain Leadership Alliance (GSLA), founded by our Director, Dan Boon. Together, we share the mission:
Looking ahead, we remain committed to advancing two parallel tracks: building world-class digital solutions that strengthen supply chains, and investing in the people who will lead them.
Because the future of logistics will be measured not only by efficiency, but also by sustainability, resilience, and human impact.
